ALAIN VOGE, LES BULLES D’ALAIN, RHONE VALLEY, FRANCE
Was $34.98 Now $22.98 Save: $12
The Alain Voge Les Bulles D’Alain Sparkler is a very cool wine and an exceptional deal. This wine really over delivers for $22.98. It is 100% Marsanne from the Northern Rhone and is made in the Traditional Method – This is the way that Champagne is made. The nose is pretty and floral. It has a nice fleshy broad palate. I attribute some of this palate density to a high clay component in the soil, some of this to the grape varietal and some of it to a subtle hint of oxidation. The feminine nose and masculine palate make this a thought provoking wine that the Wine Geek will really enjoy. Although it is fresh, it would stand up well to heavier dishes. THE ULTIMATE FEASTING SPARKLER!
TRIMBACH, GEWURZTRAMINER, ALSACE, FRANCE
Was $24.98 Now $21.98 Save: $3
“The 2013 vintage was very good for gewurz in Alsace. This wine shows a stone, spice and dried peach character. Hints of licorice too. Full-bodied, dry and spicy. Classic style. Try this to understand what dry gewurz is.” 92 Points James Suckling TEXTBOOK THANKSGIVING PAIRING!
LUNA BEBERIDE, MENCIA, BIERZO, SPAIN
Was $17.98 Now $14.98 Save: $3
Unoaked Mencia – Yum!!! “This is always a champion in its category showing intense aromas of balsamic herbs, even a touch of mint, ripe blackberries, dark cherries and a juicy, chewy palate with very fine tannins. Ideal for the table.” 90 Points Wine Advocate THIS WINE HAS BEEN 1 OF MANY ON MY THANKSGIVING TABLE FOR THE LAST 9 YEARS!
ANTON BAUER, PINOT NOIR, WAGRAM, AUSTRIA
Was $24.98 Now $19.98 Save: $5
“In 2015, Tony’s “basic” Pinot Noir manages something that Pinot does better than any other grape – to marry deep, rich, lush fruit with a silky texture and lovely vibrancy. It serves up big aromas of spiced raspberry and black cherry with a lovely earthy bass note. In the mouth it’s not at all heavy or thick, but loaded with intense flavors of crushed raspberry and cherry, Asian spice, smoke, and a hint of herb. Silky smooth in texture, a just right burst of fresh raspberry acids give lift on the long, lightly tannic, finish. A Pinot for fans of the best of Oregon, the Sonoma Coast, and Burgundy’s Cote de Beaune.” -Chain Bridge Cellars BEST VALUE, PRESTIGE PINOT NOIR IN THE MOLLY’S LANDSCAPE!
