Free Weekly Wine Tasting Featuring The Denver Art Museum’s Uncorked Reserve Wine Pairings
April 20 @ 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Friday’s free wine tasting will feature four wines served at the Denver Art Museum’s Uncorked Reserve. Uncorked is a spring event held at the Denver Art Museum celebrating two of our favorite things – wine and creativity – while raising funds for the museum’s groundbreaking exhibitions and artistic programming. Molly’s Spirits is a proud supporter of the Denver Art Museum, and this was our second year to sponsor Uncorked.
Da Luca Prosecco
“Sparkler with appealing floral, citrus and stonefruit aromas. The palate is fresh and flavoursome, displaying characters of peach, apple and capsicum. Da Luca sports a pleasant round mouthfeel with a touch of sweetness. This Prosecco lingers on the palate with tropical notes and a clean mouth watering finish.”
Marchesini Chiaretto Rosé
“Chiaretto is the most famous name for rosé wines in Italy and can only be made from the Bardolino zone bordering beautiful Lake Garda in the Veneto region of northern Italy. The ‘lake effect’ generates ample ripeness in the Corvina and Rondinella grapes. This gives the wine great aromatics and good density on the palate. This dry rosé wine is fruity, fragrant and delicate with aromas of peach-blossoms.”
B-Side Cabernet Sauvignon
“On the nose, beautiful notes of cassis, licorice and blackberry are framed by dark, toasty oak from fourteen months of aging. A ripe, rich and layered glass of wine abundant with bold fruit flavors and subtle nuances of toffee, espresso and dark chocolate. This wine reflects its origin, with powerful structure, firm tannins and a perfectly integrated finish.”
Pavan Dolce Moscato
“Pavan has a generous nose boasting orange blossom and ripe melon. This wine has a lower sugar content than most Moscatos making it a perfect pairing to desserts or brunch fare that go for savory/tangy vs. Sweet. Pavan is made in the classic frizzante (half sparkling) style.”
