This Bitter Candied Apple Whiskey Cocktail combines whiskey with apple cider and Licor 43 – a Spanish liqueur made from citrus and fruit juices, flavored with vanilla and other aromatic herbs and spices. All ingredients point to a cocktail designed for a snow day!

Apple cider4 ounces
Lemon juice3/4 ounce
Jack Daniel's whiskey1.5 ounces (1 shot)
Licor 433/4 ounce
Angostura bitters3 dashes
Lemon wheelfor garnish

Preparation:

Pour the apple cider and lemon juice into a saucepan, heating until just before the liquid boils. Turn off the heat, add the Jack Daniel’s and Licor 43 and stir. Pour into a mug and add the Angostura bitters just before serving. Garnish with a lemon wheel.
