How to Stock up for the Broncos Season Opener Thu, Dec 01, 22 The Broncos are back in action, and we couldn’t be more excited. This year, our beloved Broncos open the season on September 14th against the Tennessee Titans. Although it’s disappointing that most of us can’t watch the game in person, we’ve got some drink picks that’ll keep your spirits high (a mile high to be exact). Because let’s face it, a well-stocked cooler is the key to a proper tailgate at home. It only seems right to cheer on a Colorado sports team with a Colorado brew in hand. Here are seven suggestions for game day-ready, locally-brewed beer: 1. Coors Banquet / Coors Light Okay — this pick might be basic, but it’s a Colorado classic. I mean… light beer and football? It’s hard to argue that these two don’t belong together. With Coors, you always know what you’re going to get, and you have the opportunity to support a brand with Colorado roots. 2. Station 26 Brewing Juicy Banger IPA This pick is perfect for all the IPA lovers out there. Station 26’s flagship IPA, Juicy Banger includes notes of apricot, papaya and honey. Fun fact about this local brewing company: they make all their beer in an old fire station. Let’s just say that with this selection, we flame to please. 3. Denver Beer Co. Pretzel Assassin With a name as fun this, it’ll easily turn heads at your tailgate at home. The Pretzel Assassin Amber Lager is a solid option for crisp and easy drinking. We can assure you that no pretzels were harmed in the making of this beer, but they could definitely be devoured while you watch. 4. New Terrain Hoppatropica Pale Ale A crisp, clean pale ale sounds like a pretty nice way to celebrate the return of NFL football. New Terrain Brewing has you covered with this tasty tropical beverage, complete with citrus and mango notes. The Hoopatropica is sure to quench your thirst as you soak in the start of the football season. 5. Odell Drumroll Hazy Pale Ale When it comes to Colorado craft beer, anything made by Odell Brewing is a pretty safe bet. For this game, we recommend that you pick up a pack of their Drumroll Hazy Pale Ale. The brand boasts that “a drumroll fills you with anticipation – much like the notes in this Hazy Pale Ale.” This sentiment seems appropriate since we are already full of anticipation for this season opener. Plus, if you have any non-beer drinkers at your tailgate, Odell also launched a line of canned wines, like the OBC Wine Project Rosé. 6. 4 Noses Imperial Pumpkin Ale Brewed just outside the city in the heart of Broomfield, 4 Noses has been serving some top-notch beers to the Denver community and beyond. We recommend that you try out their Pump Action Imperial Pumpkin Ale. The can is the perfect shade of Broncos orange and will get you geared up for the flavors of fall. 7. Molly's Mirage We’ll admit, it might be a little bit biased of us to include our own collaboration beer, but this one is a staff favorite. Molly’s Mirage is a New England IPA with Hibiscus, Passionfruit and Vanilla. We teamed up with Odd13 Brewing to give you something juicy to sip on this NFL season. Be sure to grab one before this Mirage disappears! It’s no secret that watching football is just better with a beer in hand. We hope you give these selections a shot while you root for the Broncos this season. Cheers!
