February Cocktail of the Month - The Pink Negroni

Tue, Feb 06, 24

Welcome to February!  Dry January is over and we’re back with a lovely Valentine’s Day-themed cocktail this month: the Pink Negroni. You don’t have to be in a relationship to enjoy this cocktail; you don’t even need to be single.  The flavors of this cocktail are enough to bring joy, love, and a warm soul (literally, that’s what alcohol does) for the best month possible.  The cocktail brings layers of the juniper, lemongrass, orange zest, and lavender that mixes well with the bitter quinine and give way to red and black fruits. Although we’re getting flashes of warmth in the front range, it's still chilly outside so this drink is a fantastic wrap for the end of a day on the slopes or a night at home. This Negroni was selected because of our Spirits Lead love for the cocktail and having a little bit of fun to put a Valentine’s Day twist on it.

All ingredients needed are available at both locations, in Lakeside and Greenwood Village.  If you happen to have made this cocktail and make a stop at our Greenwood Village location, let Chris know your thoughts on it!

Cheers!

Ingredients:

  1. 1 oz Woody Creek Gin
  2. 1 oz Campari
  3. 1oz Kopkr Ruby Port

Directions:

  1. Stir equal parts over ice
  2. Strain over block ice
  3. Orange peel garnish

When finished, your cocktail should have pink hues-Valentine’s Day in a glass. When drinking, we notice the lemongrass and juniper notes paired alongside orange zest and lavender, producing a profile similar to compote or blackberry jam. We love the mouth feel on this cocktail and can’t stress how versatile it can be for your day, weekend, or week.  Enjoy!
