May Cocktail of the Month - Molly's Margarita Wed, May 08, 24 Hello, May! Our Cocktail of the Month-Molly’s Margarita. This is brought to everyone by our Spirits Department Manager in Greenwood Village, Chris. Everyone knows and loves a tasty yet balanced Margarita, this recipe for this classic cocktail is slightly sweet. The goal for the overall profile is balanced with vegetal notes from the tequila as well as the acidity with the fresh lime. With Spring around the corner, this recipe arrives just in time to greet the warm weather. May has always been an agave-forward spirit month. Chris wants people to try a straight forward margarita recipe because he thinks the overcomplication of its progress has become overly complicated and too sweet. Chris has been using this recipe for years and it does the trick each time! All ingredients are available at both locations. If you happen to have made this cocktail and make a stop at our Greenwood Village location, let Chris know your thoughts on it! Cheers! Ingredients: -2oz Alida Tequila -1oz Stirrings Triple Sec -1oz Lime Juice -Salt (for the glass rim) -Ice -Optional for spice: a few dashes of Strongwater Bonfire Bitters Directions: 1. Combine all ingredients into a shaker with ice. 2. Salt your rim (dab your finger into water and guide it around the outside of your glass rim, then roll the rim on a plate of finely ground salt). 3. Fine strain into a chilled margarita, double old fashioned, or any other type of glass you prefer over small ice (or a few large ice cubes) 4. Enjoy! When finished, Molly's Margarita should have a soft, opaque green color. We’re looking for citrus notes with light pepper aspects from the Alida. Additionally, we notice the cocktail finishing with balanced vegetal notes that compliment the citrus in this classic take. Cheers! By Marketing
