Molly’s Spirits Pull at the Mile High Q & Brew Thu, Dec 01, 22 Earlier this month, we were honored to host the spirits pull at the Mile High Q & Brew, the annual fundraiser for our neighbor the Tennyson Center for Children. The Tennyson Center provides residential and therapeutic services as well as a K-12 school for Colorado children ages five to 18. Many of these children have been abused or neglected while others are dealing with a variety of learning disabilities, behavioral challenges, and other mental issues. Often seen as a last resort for children who have nowhere else to go, the Tennyson Center is a community of people dedicated to serving children and youth and strengthening families and has been doing so for more than 112 years. The Mile High Q & Brew has raised over $1,000,000 for the Tennyson Center over the last 8 years! So what’s a spirits pull? Bottles are collected, numbered and displayed on shelves. Guests donate a certain amount to pull a number that corresponds with a bottle, and they get to take that bottle home! At this year’s Q & Brew, guests donated $50 to participate and with the 96 bottles we collected – that’s $4800 for the Tennyson Center! This was our second year hosting the spirits pull, and like our first year, all bottles sold out! This event would not have a success had it not been for support from the following – including 15+ Colorado distilleries!Feisty Spirits, Weaver’s Spirits, Mystic Mountain Distillery, Laws Whiskey House, Mile High Spirits, Peach Street Distillers, 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirit Company, Deerhammer Distilling Company, Woody Creek Distillers, Breckenridge Distillery, Leopold Bros., State-38 Distilling, Old Elk Distillery, Elkins Distilling, Träkál, Helluva Beverage, Ardbeg, Glenmorangie, Bulleit Frontier Whiskey, Crown Royal, Copper Dog, Baker’s Bourbon, Maker’s Mark, Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey, Basil Hayden’s, Rebecca Creek Distillery, and Ol’ Major Bacon Bourbon!
