October Brewery of the Month - Epic Brewing Company

Tue, Oct 01, 24

Epic Brewing Company opened in Salt Lake City, Utah, with six fermentation tanks. This gave them the flexibility to create a variety of small batch, artisanal beer. Within a few short months, Epic began earning medals for its beers domestically and internationally. The beer became a big hit with locals and out of state visitors alike and demand quickly increased.

Epic Brewing Company is passionate about creating high-quality, fresh, and extremely flavorful beer in small quantities with unending varieties. They use only the finest malts from the US and Europe, intense hops, and triple-filtered water.

Three years after opening, in 2013, Epic expanded its brewery operations into Colorado by opening a second brewery in the RiNo district of downtown Denver. The Denver brewery offered enough space to support growing national distribution, expansion of the popular barrel aged beer program, and the introduction of a line of sour beers. Along with these improvements, the addition of a “proper” tap room featuring 25 taps was a long awaited realization, allowing Epic to feature its substantial beer selection on draught.  Unfortunately, the Denver location closed in January of last year and Epic rediscovered their roots by reopening their flagship location in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Los Locos

A bright golden lager inspired by the warm sun and white sand beaches of the Gulf. This easy sipping beer has just a hint of malt sweetness, a dash of sea salt, and a refreshing splash of lime. It's the perfect late-summer afternoon in a glass.

Escape to Colorado

Epic Brewery reformulated Escape to Colorado as a floral, unfiltered American IPA showcasing a blend of citra and mosaic hops, resulting in a beer bursting with citrus flavor ranging from tangerine to tropical fruit. This beer is unapologetically hop forward without the bitterness. The perfect companion for your next adventure.

Brainless on Peaches

Epic Brewery puts their Brainless Belgian Golden Ale into used French Oak white wine casks with organic peach puree for a secondary fermentation and maturation. Dry and aromatic with fruity notes of peach, wine and oak. This beer is best enjoyed in a snifter glass on the warmer side of cold.
