September Cocktail of the Month - Molly's Caipirinha Tue, Sep 03, 24 Greetings, September! Our Cocktail of the Month-Molly’s Caipirinha (kai-pier-een-ya)- is here! This is brought to everyone by our Spirits Department Manager at our Greenwood Village location, Chris. September is the last kiss of summer and we’re sending off the season with a refreshing and easy cocktail. It also happens to be Brazilian Independence Day on September 7th; celebrate in style with this twist on the Brazilian National Cocktail! The Caipirinha is a simple drink based around three ingredients: lime juice, sugar, and the National Spirit of Brazil-Cachaça, a spirit distilled from fermented sugar cane. The spirit is considered a cousin to rum while the cocktail is considered the sweeter nephew to a Margarita. All ingredients are available at both locations. If you happen to have made this cocktail and make a stop at our Greenwood Village location, let Chris know your thoughts on it! Cheers! Ingredients: 1.5 oz Velho Barrero Cachaca .5 oz Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice .5 oz Simply Syrup 1 Lime, quartered Directions: Cut 1 lime into quarters. Take 2 quartered limes and muddle them in your cocktail glass, set cocktail glass aside. In a shaker, add ice and all liquid ingredients-cover and shake. Pour all items into your cocktail glass Garnish with lime zest, enjoy! When finished, Molly’s Caipirinha should have an opaque lime-green hue from the combination of cachaça and lime juice. The simplicity of the cocktail is what makes this truly stand out- offering sweetness with hints of tart and is extremely drinkable on a summer evening. The finish on the palette should be refreshing, a little tangy, but overall delightful. Tell us your thoughts about it next time you’re in the store! Cheers to Summer! By Marketing
