Behind the Agave

Their “Tequilero” Artisan

The Tequila Dos Artes team draws inspiration from knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation. These strong family ties provide the experience needed to properly handle and process the mature Weber tequilana, more commonly known as blue Weber agave, piñas from planting through production.

This time-honored craft requires just the right amount of art and science. A culture of love and devotion to this magnificent artisan tequila has made the distillery’s presence felt world-wide. We can certainly tell!

Fun Fact: A 1977 Mexican law requires tequila makers to use blue Weber agave, pictured below.

Their Ceramic Artisan

Dos Artes Tequila works closely with a ceramic artisan to create all of their unique bottle designs. Each one is hand-painted and takes 72 hours to be transformed into an exquisite ceramic piece. The goal of this process is to make every bottle worthy of being displayed as beautiful Mexican art.

Background: This tequila was created by resting a Blanco 5 years in both French oak and white American oak barrels. It is then combined in a 80/20 mix favoring the French oak to create an incredibly bold extra añejo.

ABV: 40%

Taste: This beautiful sipping tequila has rich flavors of vanilla and caramel that finishes with a lovely oak aroma.

Pairings: Grilled pork tenderloin or rich chocolate dessert
