And they’re off! Grab your biggest hat and pick up a bottle of Woodford Reserve — it’s time to celebrate the return of the Kentucky Derby! In true Molly’s fashion, we’re serving up two drink recipes perfect for celebrating what many refer to as “the greatest two minutes in sports” right from the comfort of your home.

It only makes sense that we start with the official drink of the Derby, the Mint Julep. This classic cocktail is a must for your virtual Derby party. Just because this year is going to look a bit untraditional doesn’t mean you have to miss out on this tasty tradition.

What You Need:

Instructions:

  1. Express the essential oils in the mint leaves
  2. Rub the mint leaves inside the glass
  3. Add simple syrup, bourbon and crushed ice
  4. Stir ingredients
  5. Garnish with more ice and fresh mint
If the Mint Julep isn’t your style or maybe you want to mix it up, we’ve got another Derby-ready drink that you can sit back and enjoy. The Spire is a refreshing, crisp cocktail that’ll get you geared up for the Race for the Roses. Plus, it’s easy to make and should only take you a few minutes.
